Who we are

This website is run by Al Sheikh Traders, a sanitaryware and bath fittings business based in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Al Sheikh Traders.

This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We only collect information you give us, plus a small amount of technical information needed to run and protect the website.

When you place an order

• Your name, phone number, city, province and delivery address
• Your email address, if you choose to give it
• Any notes you add, your payment method (cash on delivery or bank transfer) and the products you ordered

We do not collect card numbers or bank login details on this website.

When you send a message through our contact form

• Your name, email address and message
• Your IP address and browser information, which we use to stop spam and abuse

When you subscribe to our newsletter

• Your email address

When you leave a review

• The name, description (for example "Homeowner") and review text you enter

Technical information

• Our servers keep standard logs (such as IP address, date and time, and the page requested) to keep the site secure and to limit repeated or abusive requests.
• We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

How we use your information

• To confirm, prepare, deliver and support your order, including calling you about it
• To reply to your messages and questions
• To send the emails described in the next section
• To show approved reviews on our website
• To keep the website secure and prevent spam, fraud and abuse
• To keep records we need for accounting and legal reasons

Emails we send

If you give us your email address, we may send you:

• A confirmation when we receive your order
• Updates when your order status changes (for example confirmed, shipped, delivered or cancelled)
• After delivery, one email asking you to review your purchase
• A copy of your contact-form message and our reply
• Newsletter emails about offers and new products, only if you subscribed

These emails come from a no-reply address; replies reach our team. To stop newsletter emails, email us at alsheikhtraders26@gmail.com and we will remove you.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with service providers that help us run the website and deliver your orders, and only as much as they need:

• Hosting: Vercel (website) and Railway (our server)
• Database: MongoDB Atlas, where orders, messages, subscribers and reviews are stored
• Email delivery: Resend, which sends our order and contact emails
• Product images: Cloudinary
• Delivery: courier companies, which receive your name, phone number and address to deliver your order
• Maps: our contact page shows an embedded Google Map. Google may collect information when that map loads, under Google's own privacy policy.

Some of these providers store data on servers outside Pakistan. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.

Cookies and browser storage

• Your cart and favourites are saved in your own browser (local storage) so they are still there when you come back. They are not sent to us until you place an order.
• Our admin login uses a secure cookie that only applies to our staff dashboard.
• We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep information

• Order records: as long as needed to support your order, honour our guarantee and meet accounting requirements
• Contact messages: until your question is resolved, and for a reasonable time afterwards in case you follow up
• Newsletter emails: until you ask us to remove you
• Reviews: while they are shown on the website, or until you ask us to remove them
• Spam-protection records: a short time only (minutes to days)

How we protect your information

The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to customer information is limited to our staff through a password-protected dashboard. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and fix problems quickly.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you
• Correct information that is wrong
• Delete your information, unless we must keep it (for example an order record for accounting)
• Stop sending you newsletter emails
• Remove a review you left

Children

Our website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Please also read our Terms of Service.
